Damian Parsons
Born in 1962, he is an architect, designer, and visual artist who lives and works in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. A fourth-generation architect and artist, his work has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions over the years. His artistic practice is rooted in an early exposure to creativity and craftsmanship. While studying architecture, he trained in painting and participated in juried competitions—earning the distinction of exhibiting at the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes in Buenos Aires during the 1990s. His artwork explores balance, materiality, and a quiet sense of place—qualities that resonate naturally with wine culture. Drawing inspiration from landscapes, textures, and contemplative spaces, his paintings are especially well suited to tasting rooms and winery environments, where art and wine together invite reflection and conversation. In parallel with his fine art practice, he combines traditional craftsmanship with advanced fabrication techniques, including CNC technology, to create bespoke furniture, objects, and Zen stones. His long-standing engagement with Japanese culture, including years of Aikido practice, informs a minimalist aesthetic that complements refined, hospitality-focused settings. As an architect, he has led major projects in Argentina. He later founded a successful design-build firm, completing multi-million-dollar custom homes in the Washington, D.C. area—experience that informs his sensitivity to space, flow, and the visitor experience. His wine-focused exhibitions are conceived as collaborative experiences, enhancing the character of each winery while offering guests an added cultural layer to their visit.
