Sheyda

My name is Sheyda Bayat. I graduated from the Faculty of Non-Interference at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in the field of visual communication in 2013. My connection to art begins with rapids as a tool to create my designs without any preconceptions. When I start designing, I don't know what I will create, and ultimately, I am the first person to be surprised by the design I see because they take shape completely unconsciously. The design that allowed me to understand a part of my unconscious mind is the one that affected me the most. As an introverted person, I am not particularly good at expressing my emotions and feelings in the outside world, but fortunately, art has given me the opportunity to speak without words and convey things that would take hours to express verbally in just a few minutes through my visual creations. Recently, I became familiar with the concept of Ensō, which resonated with me deeply because I felt that the spirit of Ensō is present in my designs, but instead of drawing a circle, the spirit of Ensō is hidden in every line of my designs. I think Ensō is about allowing the unconscious to flow while being in harmony between the body and the mind. When I draw my designs, I put my heart on paper without any prior thought of what I will draw. I let the pen dance on the paper and create whatever it desires in that moment. Ensō is a manifestation of me as an artist at the moment of creation and the acceptance of my innermost self. It symbolizes strength, elegance, and one-mindedness. The beauty of Ensō lies in its imperfection, just as my creations made with unconscious lines are not perfect, but my work is reflected in that moment.
